New York Yacht Club
Job Description
The New York Yacht Club Harbour Court is hiring dockhands for the 2026 season. Our season begins in May and runs until Columbus Day Weekend. Working down on the waterfront at one of the most prestigious yacht clubs in the world is a great way to enjoy your summer season. You'll be working with a passionate group of coworkers and get to meet our amazing members and their guests. You must be able to work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, wind) and be able to stand for long periods of time. Working weekends, holidays, and nights are highly ranked. Previous yacht club or marina experience is a plus, but not required. We train all our waterfront staff the same way and are willing to train the right person. Responsibilities of dockhands are as follows:
  • Assist the dockmaster and launch captains with day to day tasks
  • Be present and assist all members and their guests when tying up their boats and while they disembark
  • Maintain a clean and safe dock space for members and staff
  • Provide excellent hospitality service to all members and guests
  • Conduct our ceremonial colors during opening shifts and sunset times
If this sounds like the way you'd like to spend your summer season, please reach out at waterfront@nyyc.org
Hourly pay depends on experience.
