Frank Hall Boat Yard, Inc, a three-generation, family-owned and operated business, is seeking an experienced Marine Mechanic to join its expanding team. The individual must have a minimum of three to five years of experience within the marine industry including an extensive marine service/repair background. The qualified candidate will join a team of experienced, dedicated mechanics working in a busy full-service marina and will be responsible for proactively maintaining customer’s boats, as well as troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues.  
Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
  • Trouble shooting skills and ability to work along side customers.
  • Perform diagnostics and repair of all types of marine engines and transmissions/drives/generators.
  • Perform diagnostics and repair on electrical/electronics/plumbing and water systems.
  • Timely and accurate completion of work.
  • Maintain 100% productivity.
  • Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Adhere to boat yard safety practice. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • A commitment to consistently delivering quality service and excellent attention to detail. 
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and willingness to participate in continuing education/training opportunities as they are presented. 
  • Strong vessel operation skills.
  • Ability to work independently or under direct instruction and complete projects on a timeline.
  • Capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment focused on providing a high level of customer service.
Job requirements include a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the marine industry, must have your own tools, have reliable transportation, must be a self-motivator and be able to work overtime.
