The Hinckley Company is a world-renowned builder of premium jetboats and sailing craft from 29 to 70+ feet in length Maine and Rhode Island, and operates service yards along the U.S. East Coast.

We are seeking Deck Hardware Installers for our Hunt Production facility.

Deck Hardware Installer Duties:
Deck Hardware Installer installs prefabricated parts on decks and pilot houses such as hatches, marine
hardware, metal trim, seats and other parts to design specifications. The installer uses hand tools
and power tools such as drills, taps, saws, grinders, wrenches and ratchets to install hardware using
blueprints and or templates.
Essential Duties:
1. Reads blueprints and specifications to perform deck layout.
2. Positions hardware according to specifications using rule, templates or other devices.
3. Cuts and or grinds mounting bases or brackets using portable electric saws and grinders and
screws them in place.
4. Drills holes and bolts hardware, hatches and other parts in place.
5. Applies caulking compound under spray rails, windshields, and around windows using
appropriate material to specified lengths and cements, crimps, screws or taps into place.
6. Installs prefabricated/custom parts such as hatches, marine hardware, metal trim, seats and
other parts.
7. Polishes stainless steel pieces to finish that meets Hinckley standards.
• High school or general equivalency degree (GED) required.
• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Knowledge and operation of hand and power tools such as sockets, wrenches, drills, screw gun
and tapper.
• 0 to 6 months experience woodworking which may be attained on-the-job or through school,
hobby or construction.
