Job Overview: Ocean Link, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Service Manager to lead our dynamic team of technicians. The Service Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the service operations, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining the high standards of quality that Ocean Link, Inc. is known for.
Responsibilities:
1.    Team Management:
·       Oversee and manage a team of up to 4 technicians.
·       Provide leadership, guidance, and support to technicians to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
·       Conduct regular team meetings to foster communication, address concerns, and promote a positive working environment.
2.    Estimation and Quoting:
·       Develop accurate and competitive estimates for marine system equipment sales, services, and installations.
·       Collaborate with the sales team to ensure alignment between customer expectations and proposed services.
·       Present estimates to clients and address any questions or concerns.
3.    Work Order and Invoice Review:
·       Review and approve work orders to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
·       Verify invoices for accuracy and completeness before submission to clients.
·       Collaborate with the finance department to resolve any billing discrepancies.
4.    Technical Support:
·       Provide technical support to technicians in the field, troubleshooting challenges, and offering guidance as needed.
·       Implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the service team.
·       Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the service department.
5.    Customer Relations:
·       Act as a point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
·       Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling services.
·       Handle customer complaints or issues, working towards swift and effective resolutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the marine industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of marine system equipment and installations.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
