Job Description
Safe/Sea is seeking skilled and dedicated Captains to operate our rescue towboats in a dynamic marine environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting vessel tows, jump starts, and other marine assistance services while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate rescue towboats in varying conditions to assist boaters in distress.
- Perform vessel towing, jump starts, consumable drops, and additional marine assistance services.
- Ensure the safe execution of all assigned missions while adhering to industry best practices.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with the operations team and customers.
- Uphold Safe/Sea’s reputation for prompt, reliable, and professional marine assistance.
- Conduct basic vessel maintenance and inspections to ensure operational readiness.
Requirements:
- Valid USCG OUPV License with a Commercial Assistance Towing Endorsement
- Previous experience in marine towing and salvage is preferred but not required.
- Local knowledge and marine navigation skills
- Strong situational awareness.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety.
- Weekend and holiday availability required.
